Timex needed a way to drive conversation to the brands new product launch the Timex One GPS+ a phone free smartwatch designed for runners.
So we came up with the idea of hosting a relay race between two of the most iconic marathons the New York and Chicago Marathon, The Timex One Relay. A 22 day race from Chicago to New York with multiple stops and runners. We also partnered with charity miles and pledged to donate $100 per mile to a foundation of the runner’s choosing.
I was tasked with writing the copy for the website, crafting real time social media posts. I also interviewed several runners and crafted their inspirational stories to be featured as editorial content across Timex platforms.
